Data Deletion

1. Overview
This page explains how to delete your PostBuffer account and what happens to your data when you do. It supplements our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service, which govern data retention and account termination in full.
2. How to Request Deletion
You may delete your PostBuffer account at any time through your account settings, or by contacting our support team at support@postbuffer.in with the subject line "Account Deletion Request" from the email address associated with your account. We may ask you to verify your identity before processing the request.
3. What Gets Deleted
Upon confirmed deletion, we remove or anonymize your personal information, including your account profile, scheduled content, drafts, content calendar data, and stored access and refresh tokens for connected social media accounts. Your account becomes inaccessible immediately, and connected social media accounts are disconnected so PostBuffer can no longer publish, schedule, or retrieve data on your behalf.
4. What May Be Retained
We may retain limited records where required for legal, tax, accounting, fraud prevention, or security purposes, and where retention is required by applicable law, including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act), GDPR, or CCPA/CPRA. Backup copies may continue to exist for a limited period before being securely deleted according to our backup schedules.
5. Revoking Social Media Permissions
Deleting your PostBuffer account does not automatically revoke permissions on the connected platform's side in every case. We recommend also reviewing and revoking PostBuffer's app permissions directly within each connected platform (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, Threads, Pinterest, TikTok, YouTube) through that platform's app or connected-services settings.
6. Exporting Your Data First
You are responsible for exporting any content, drafts, or analytics you wish to retain before requesting account deletion. PostBuffer is not responsible for any loss of content resulting from account deletion initiated by you.
7. Processing Time
We aim to process deletion requests promptly. Depending on backup and system schedules, complete removal of data from all systems, including backups, may take a limited additional period after the account is deactivated.
